Today we went to the zoo to meet the two-week old baby elephant. I was pretty excited to meet the newest member of the herd and although the wait was almost an hour, I was patient and am so glad to have gone. We happened to get in at a time when the little guy was napping so I didn't get to see much of him, but he was sure cute!
I also got to ride the zoo train with Kate and of course had a great time! We saw Elk along the way and the birds used in the Birds of Prey show. What a fun day!
Do you like my hat? I didn't want to wear it when I first got it, but this morning I asked Mom for it. I think Kate likes it too.
Kate really likes to kiss me, as you can clearly see. Can you blame her?

wow, thanks buddy. i know i really shouldn't beat myself up. i just got really bummed and, unfortunately, i decided to write everything down right then. i do have great people in my life and i appreciate you saying so. thanks and hopefully i WILL let you next time i'm there.
